The Evolution of a Start-up Idea
Jason Brewer and Justin Goldman (see bios) will be presenting an interactive exercise that will engage the student audience and help them understand and appreciate the process of moving a startup idea through research, development and implementation, or what they call, "Spark to Start."
Jason has previously run this event multiple times at Lafayette College and we are delighted he and Justin have agreed to travel back to Penn State to conduct this fun event during Penn State GEW.

Justin Goldman co-founded LionMenus.com as a junior at Penn State with classmates Chris Jeffery, Jason Kwicien & David Laiderman. The founding team on the heels of the success of LionMenus.com expanded to 17 more universities across the United States. LionMenus.com and the now 25 additional properties today operate under the OrderUp.com brand and continues to thrive.
In 2009 Justin left BetDash to pursue a new venture along with Penn State alumnus Robert Shedd. Together they created BetDash.com, a social sports betting game. A pivot to a real money model resulted in an acquisition by a publicly traded leading egaming company in Dublin, Ireland (Paddy Power PLC). BetDash is a leader in real money social sports betting & in 2012 was recognized for it's success by being named the winner of the EGaming Review 2012 Operator Awards for Innovation in Gaming.
Jason is co-founder and CEO of Brolik, an award winning digital agency in Philadelphia specializing in branding, web design, video and digital strategy. Jason serves as lead in Brolik's business development and marketing efforts.
Since co-founding in 2004 (while a sophomore film/video major at Penn State University), Jason has established Brolik as an innovative digital agency with a knack for merging design and technology to push the industry, serving clients including Comcast, Everlast Worldwide, and Alex’s Lemonade Stand. A key part of Brolik's approach is to empower clients with digital strategy and brand experiences to increase customer engagement. Brolik has become a leader in responsive web design, both through their work and educating others about the responsive design philosophy.
In the past 9 years Jason has assisted in the branding and launch of over 30 start-up brands. He has also been featured in the Philadelphia Business Journal, Innovation Philadelphia, Philly Ad News, Convince and Convert, and SmartCEO for his entrepreneurial ventures in business and film in Philadelphia.
Jason enjoys writing, whether as a screenwriter for film/commercial video, children’s author or as a contributing columnist for business and marketing publications.
