We interview 3 DECA members about a family member who owns their own business. We asked them three questions. The first question was what type of business do you own? The second question was what does you like most about your job. The third question was how many hours do you work a week? The first person we interview was our marketing teacher Mrs. Sorenson husband Brad Sorenson. His business is called complete Diesel and is a medium to heavy Duty Truck Repair shop.  He likes his job because trucks are his passion. He loves diagnosing the problem and fixing it for the customer and he had fun putting performance based equipment on trucks. He works 55 to 65 hours a week. Our second participant was a one of our fashion 1 student’s mother named Chalet Herr. Her business is called Hanover Law. She likes her job because she is partners with her boyfriend and she has always had an interest in law. She works 5o to 60 hours a week. Our third participant was one of our Advanced Fashion student’s mothers named Mrs. Beckon. She owns her own hair salon in old town Alexandria. She told us that she loves her job and could not imagine doing any other job. She also works 40 hours a week.
