New Jersey Immigrant Entrepreneur Awards

The Awards were created to highlight the history and academic influence of New Jersey’s immigrant contributions to New Jersey communities throughout the state. The intention of the New Jersey Immigrant Entrepreneur Awards is to bring together business groups from across the state to join in celebrating the important role of immigrants to today’s economy.

Nominations are open until September 30th. A selection committee will consist of award sponsors for each category. The committee will review each nomination and select the winners in each category among nominees that meet eligibility guidelines and are making the biggest impact.

The Award Ceremony will take place on Wednesday, November 20th from 6:30-8pm @ The Mansion at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s College at Florham Campus 

Award categories include:

1. 2013 Immigrant Entrepreneur of the Year—Sponsored by Fairleigh Dickinson University

2. Nicholas Marcalus Award for Sustainability— Sponsored by American Jewish Committee

3. Caspar Wistar Award for Growth— Sponsored by Morris County Chamber

4. David Sarnoff Award for Advocacy— Sponsored by Main Street Alliance

5. Albert Einstein Award for Innovation—sponsored by Einstein’s Alley

6. Ida Rosenthal Young Entrepreneur Awards- Sponsored by the NJ Chinese American Chamber

7. George Merck Award for Neighborhood/ Community Involvement – Sponsored by the Intersect Fund

8. George Perrott Macculloch Award for Leadership- Sponsored by the Greater Monmouth County Chamber

9.  Evelio Cuellar Award for Family Business- Sponsored by the Morris County Hispanic-American Chamber

The Florham-Madison Campus can be reached from such major routes as the Garden State Parkway, Route 80, and Route 287. Consult the directions below for the most appropriate route. 

**The Mansion is handicap accessible. When facing the center of the Mansion, to the right of the Mansion is a ramp, and the handicap entrance leads right into Lenfell Hall.

From New York City (approx. 25miles): From Lincoln Tunnel, continue to I-95 (New Jersey Turnpike) south to Exit 15W - I-280. Follow I-280 West to 80 West to I-287 South to Exit 37 (NJ 24 East). Follow NJ 24 East to Exit 2A (NJ 510 West). At first light (Park Avenue), make a left. The entrance to FDU is four lights down on the right-hand side. 

From Northeast: Take I-287 across the Tappan Zee Bridge to Exit 37 (NJ 24 East). Follow NJ 24 East to Exit 2A (NJ 510 West). At first light (Park Avenue), make a left. The entrance to FDU is four lights down on the right-hand side. 

From West on I-80: Exit onto I-287 South to Exit 37 (NJ 24 East). Follow NJ 24 East to Exit 2A (NJ 510 West). At first light (Park Avenue), make a left. The entrance to FDU is four lights down on the right-hand side. 

From South: Take NJ Turnpike to Exit 10, I-287 North to Exit 35. At the end of exit, turn left at light. Make quick right; go one block and make another right onto Madison Avenue (Route 124 East). The entrance to campus is approximately 2.5 miles on the left, shortly after passing the Madison Hotel. 

From Newark Area: I-78 West. Follow Route 24 West to Exit 2A (NJ510 West). At first light, turn left. The entrance to the FDU campus is four lights down on the right hand side. 

From Pennsylvania: Take I-78 East to I-287 North to Exit 35. At the end of exit, turn left at light. Make a quick right; go one block and make another right onto Madison Avenue (Route 124 East). The entrance to campus is approximately 2.5 miles on the left, shortly after passing the Madison Hotel
