Women in Growth Investing and High-Growth Entrepreneurshiop
A panel featuring Adrianna Ma, Lisa Skeete-Tatum, and Stephanie Tilenius; Moderated by Melissa Krinzman
Women comprise approximately 20% of angel investors. A 2011 study of top VC firms indicated that approximately 8% of investment professionals are female. Recognizing this disparity, organizations like 37 Angels, Topstone Angels and the Pipeline Fellowship are organized to reduce the gender disparity in growth capital investors. On the entrepreneur side, female owned companies account for only 16% of entrepreneurs seeking angel investment. In addition, while technology firms grab the majority of venture capital investment year after year, only 12% of computer science graduates are women. A panel of top female investors and entrepreneurs discusses investing and the realities of women in the world of growth investing and high-growth entrepreneurship.
