Boston-Area Colleges Celebrate GEW

The city of Boston's excellence in entrepreneurship has been highlighted this year by the overwhelming participation of colleges and universities in the greater metropolitan area during GEW.

A number of schools have provided a multitude of opportunities for students and the local community to celebrate and participate throughtout the week. Below are just a few of the highlights: 

Babson College hosted a number of events, including its 12th annual 'Babson Entrepreneurship Forum' which challenged visionaries, innovators, thought leaders and Entrepreneurs of All Kinds™ to consider the opportunities that will transform industries, societies, lives – in short, the world.

Northeastern University kicked off their week with a reception to celebrate both student and alumni in the entrepreneurship world with the, 'Celebrate Northeastern’s Legacy of Entrepreneurship' event. They also hosted the final Demo Day of the Husky Startup Challenge.

Harvard University and MIT brought GEW to students with its Innovation Series Event: Crimson on Cardinal—Startup Throwdown with Harvard iLab. The competition between Harvard and MIT challenged student teams to to find out who can incubate the best innovation. Three teams each had the oppertunity to pitch ideas to the audience, who voted on the best ones.
