Citizen Made emerged victorious from a group of 10 finalists who presented from the stage. The finalists were selected from more than 260 applications—evaluated by a collection of more than 30 investors who served as judges. The People’s Choice Award, which was voted on twitter, went to Chandini Ammineni and Peggy Chang of ActivityHero, a startup that helps people find classes & camps for kids & teens. They won a meeting with angel investor Joanne Wilson. In addition to the pitch competition the conference featured a full day of top speakers including Founder of Cisco Sandy Lerner, Founder of Oxygen Network Geraldine Laybourne, Director of Facebook Sarah Personette and others. The topics ranged from how to create a high growth company no matter what industry you’re in to how to run a Kickstarter campaign.
